Relationship Reflections

Life is full of relationships .  It is imperative that we build and cherish the relationships we have.  It is also important that we choose the right people to build relationships with.  I view a relationship like an apple tree.  Some apples come for a season and then are picked away.  Some apples stay around the tree and end up growing into another tree.  We can all grow from each other.  It depends on what you pull our of that person.

This is is a picture of me and my sister going horse back riding.  It was a wonderful experience.  We have laughed and cried for each other.  She has been with me to support me throughout my life.  It seems as if we always like to share dates.  The day I graduated from college, she was going to her prom.  The day she graduated form college, I got engaged.  We love to share dates.  We even went through pregnancy together.  My sister is my best friend.  As we grow in life, we have always remained close.

I am close with all of my family.  Being raised by a single mother, we have all been close.  My brother has shown me how to communicate effectively.  He was my first roommate out of college.  He was also the guy that approved or disapproved of the boys I dated.  Throughout our relationship, I have been the older protective sister and encourager.  We often spoke about school, dating, and other events in life.  We have all been peas in a pod.  Fighting as children, laughing as teens, and loving as adults.

My sister and brother have been an inspiration to me.  Throughout my educational journey, they have been cheering me on.  They have motivated me after seeing m excitement and joy when working with children.  My sister and brother and made suggestions on ways to improve and given me ideas on ways to be successful.  I cherish their opinions and hope to make them proud in the future.
