My Mother
My mother is one of the strongest women I know. She raised 3 children by herself while going to school full-time and working full time. I used to think she was a superhero. It always seemed like she had enough time to make myself, my sister, and my brother feel special. We would bake, clean, sing, and play together. Although we grew up poor, I had no idea. She never let us go without. She would always find or make a way to get the job done. She is an amazing woman and I love her dearly. My mother and I still talk every day. She gives me advice on daily tasks, events, and motherhood.
My Godmother

Cousin Jimmy
Jimmy was the big brother that I never had. He showed me what I did and didn't want in a man. He didn't allow me to date, but always told me who would be a "good guy" to think about. I loved talking to him and watching tv. He was a great big brother.
Jimmy has been a great father and getting ready to be a grandfather. He has always encouraged me to go after my dreams, and don't let anyone stand in your way.
Grandma G
She has always been the nicest woman I know. She will tell you when you are wrong but always follows up with kind words and a big hug. I can remember her coming to visit during thanksgiving. We would cook her macaroni and cheese and she would tell me stories about my father. Grandma G can always find the positive in a negative situation. She is the sugar and spice to anything nice.
Grandma G is now Great Grandma G. She is still encouraging and full of love. She is so happy that I have begun the journey of getting a degree in education. I hope that I can make her proud.
